Lol, so the rewards program is that bad huh? Well, I think I'll take your advice since if I do get a CC with them, more than likely I'll carry a balance on it for a while, so I might as well get go for the lowest APR I can get, thanks for the advice.
By the way, I thought there were special requirements to become a member which could be avoided if you became a member of one of NASA CUs affiliates or something like that? Is it really as easy as apping for a Savings account and then apping for a CC now? If so, I can't wait to try this out in a couple weeks.

When you go to join you can choose to automatically (and at no cost) join one of their affilliates.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the tip/info! Is it clearly spelled out on the site who you can join with at no cost, or is there 1 particular affiliate you have to know about?
2% cashback over $2000 annual spend with a $30,000 limit is a pretty solid product.

Lol, please don't get into a heated debate on my account. I think @TheClub was just pointing it out to avoid any major issues with the mods or other members. We're all cool here, so no need to potentially start a thread war.

That sounds great and all, but if you carry a balance after the intro 0% APR, then the higher APR will negate it. The rewards CC is 9.9% APR at it's lowest, and I believe the cash starts at 13.9% APR, which is an extra 4%, and those are prime rates. As much as I would like them, I doubt I'll get a prime rate that low and I know at this point in time, I can't guarantee I'll never carry a balance, so the rewards is the better bet for me. Thanks for replying though.

That was actually in response to the rewards program being "gay" but I quoted it wrong.
If you're not carrying a balance APR means nothing. Also the difference between 9.9% and 13.9% interest over a year's time on a $5000 balance is a little over $100 so it's not like it's a huge disparity.

Yes, until the Double Cash came along, 2% on a Visa/MC after a low initial threshold was actually very good. The Fidelity Visa doesn't start giving 2% until $15K spend for example. The only real negative is that rewards are paid annually.
