You really need to try and get this OFF your report......for many lenders a collection acct or 90 days late is an auto denial.......some will still give credit......if you read through the posts on here you will see what I'm talking about. If you got the message from NASA asking for proof of payment. I would go for it..Why don't you want to pay the full amount due so it reports paid in full.

I have a Macy's store card which has 4 lates all from 2012. 3 60 days and 1 90 days... is this still affecting my credit? Is there any way to get it off of my report?
It also is showing a 107% utilization. I recently got an increase last month but it hasn't updated? Either way I brought the balance down this week.
Woah. Massive thread multi merge. lol I have no idea whats going on

Yes, it's probably still affecting your credit. The 90 will for 7 years, the others might be shorter.
You could ask Macy's to delete the ENTIRE tradeline. They can't delete accurate information, but they don't have to report at all. So they can just not report you. But, that would take some convincing. CLIs don't report right away, IME.

Ehh...
I have several 90 and 120 day lates from late 2008, and I've been a proved for a TON of credit in the past few months.

Actually, I was thinking about this from the CU viewpoint (or perhaps the regulators). If your CU becomes very attractive to people wanting much higher limits than they get from other creditors (and with SPs if possible), doesn't sound too healthy for the institution! Now many may want the high CL for utilization purposes, but it really is all there to spend, and default on.
On the other hand NFCU seems to do ok and with good monitoring, a lender can mitigate risk.
Speaking of mitigating risk. As I was watching all this go down, I couldn't help but wonder what kinds of red flags must be going up. I'm sure there's a black market for identity theft. All those apps and instant approvals had to look suspicious and set off some kind of threat level alert internally. I'm sure that's why it slowed down. At least, I hope that's why it slowed down and people starting getting denied. SO, in a way, it's a good thing.
Edit: Context skewed.
Got onto the live chat first thing this morning to poke around for a status update, the CSR gave the standard 2-3 day spiel but when I asked if she could check whether I would need to submit any documents, she went silent for a few minutes and then said she spoke to an underwriter about reviewing my app for needed documents... so hopefully that amounts to my app getting expedited!
I also asked her about the PLOC and she said that 1) if I app'd for it now it wouldn't affect my CC app in review, and 2) it would use the same credit info as my CC app. With that info, I went ahead and submitted a PLOC app (requested $20K in case I got approved for that full $30K on the CC by some miracle), then checked my EX CR again and there's a new softie from NASA for today. And as long as it all stays soft, I'm not upset about whatever may come of all these shenanigans
I just took the plunge for membership. Submitted my application an hour back.
Do I stand a chance for approval today? No SP on my EX yet.
