Hi all,
I am interested in applying for the Uber card. Right now all of my scores are in the 750's. I have a $20k limit with Amex and a $2300 limit with Discover. What would be credit line be if I get the Uber card? I know they are usally pretty low.. I have had my Discover for two years now and my Amex for 1.5 years.
Thank you!
myFICO is sadly not Barclays. My suggestion is to go put an application through to Barclay's for the Uber card and they will tell you. There is so much more to approvals than scores so we have no clue what you will get.
I have a spread of $900-$65K and the instapproval was 11K and a phone call afterwards adjusted upwards to 25K within a couple of minutes on the phone with them.
Either way if it's an approval give them a call on the backdoor # and tell them where you want to be and if they agree it's a done deal or they'll counter with an appropriate amount.
I will apply and call. Thanks everyone!
you should get a good limit. but if not, it will cost you a hp now if you call in to adjust your limit. i called 4 times asking if i could do it without one and it was no no no no. i was told they just created a new rule a few days ago forbidding anyone from doing a free limit adjustment no matter how soon they call in. it's really lame.

What's another HP if you get a usable limit out of it? It depends on what your goal is as well. A couple of more points on the 2nd HP might outweigh being stuck at a limit that won't work w/o more management of UTIL.
----- also, the scoring models will consolidate the HP's but, the HP count goes up as a result of the 2nd pull
Policies change all the time depending on who you get on the phone. Also, your profile plays into whether they see a flag on an account. When I called in he could clearly see I PIF all of the time and rattled off a couple of other compliments on handling things and such.
With Citi I took the 2nd HP because the true limit wasn't revealed until after asking for more after the approval. Both instances of new cards performed the same way yielding an addition 5K/ea. Now, trying to get Citi to do anything is like pulling teeth, at least with Barclay's they don't pull any punches and tell you what to expect right off the bat.
i think they only consolodate hp's for auto loan shopping and installment loan shopping, that's how i've seen it described. but even though they're meant to do this, it never works and people end up getting denied on apps.
when i apped uber they only saw my 2 low limit cards, not my $6k amex card and that's probably what got me the low limit. so if i'm gonna do another hp i might as well wait til next week when amex is reporting. i'd rather not take another hit on that report but maybe i should. if they will give decent automatic cli's then it's not worth me doing a hp. any hp i take destroys my mtg scores even if my fico8's are unaffected that's a big concern for me.
Got it. With the Citi double cash card, is that harder to get approved for vs this card? How is it limit wise?
yes citi is harder to get approved for and they're really stingy too.
