You realize that you already paid the annual fee, right? It's the first thing you're charged with CreditOne.
@Justagirl73 wrote:It has nothing to do with critiquing a bad rebuilder card. We have (almost all us) steered peeps away from Credit1 or suggested they close it when they had better cards. This post has nothing to do with that. Op literally keep one of their employees on the line for an hour, with no intention of anything good. It would be different if op was a customer and was trying to work out an issue. But they weren't and had no intention of becoming one. Not to mention, this means someone else was on hold, who actually needed help.
I'm sorry, but that employee did not deserve that. Maybe I'm getting old, but I just don't think that's funny.
We we all get unsavory cc offers, but most of us just throw them away.
I could not agree more! +1,000,000. Just the point I was trying to make, but my post was deleted.

Hi @Anonymous, your post wasn't deleted, your edit caused the automation to send it to the spam quarantine; I've restored it to the forum.

I have to say that being someone who has worked on the other end of that phone call this is very discouraging to see that ppl knowingly go out of their way just to give someone grief on the other end of the phone . Although I did work for a more reputable company (Citi Bank call center ) but still had those days where I would get these kinds of phone calls where nothing you can say or do makes the caller happy and it's very discouraging to say the least , that call may end for you when you hang up the phone and laugh but you can bet the person who took the call will have been affected by it in some way for the rest of their shift. Hell I still remember some calls I took that were crazy , over the top and this was over 10 years ago when I worked there . Working in call centers is not easy folks , try to have a bit more respect. Just throw the unwanted offers in the trash like I do and go on with your life . I get Credit One offers 3 times a week via postal or email and I just trash them . I do look at the offers first bc I have noticed in the last 6 mths they have drastically changed , once they were no grace period , 125 annual fee 27 % Interest rate , but now they offer a grace period and 45 AF with 20.40 Apr which is lower than some of my cards with much better lenders . Not that I would take the offer as I do believe they are very predatory but I think they maybe tryIng to change things up some or atleast I have seen it in my offers .
I agree wholeheartedly. There are much better things to do with time than to harrass someone about a product you had absolutely no intention of applying for.
To everyone who's complaining about the OP.... He didn't harass anyone, he was simply asking questions and investigating, albeit with a possibly cynical purpose. As far as "wasting her time" I highly doubt she gets paid differently based on whether the conversations are wastes of time or not. He wasn't rude or ignorant judging from his post. There are much more important battles and injustices to be fighting seems like a really small thing to get so worked up about. I highly doubt the person cared that some guy kept them on the phone that long simply asking a bunch of questions... hardly abusive at all. Maybe the hour long convo saved the CSR from dealing with a rude or much more negative conversation, who knows. I'm all for standing up for people but you gotta pick your battles in my humble opinion.
If anything, maybe the credit1 reps will pass feedback on about convo's like the OPs and they can dabble into non-subprime cards.
Even the original poster said he wasted her time. I think some people who say this is ok or funny believe that because they hate Credit One. The company is irrelevant. The call was unnecessary.

Saying something is unnecessary can be considered unnecessary. My point is it's not a big deal, the CSR was not harmed or harassed, simply a conversation. I guarantee she's paid hourly and I seriously doubt the call affected her day negatively. She literally got paid to have a boring conversation with the OP seems so silly to be attacking somebody about this, really.
