So I applied for the DC Visa and was gloriously denied lol. Just wanted to post for DP's sake. I have not received the letter with the reasons and the person on the phone was quick to say "..and it doesn't provide a reason". I'll update the post when I get the letter
Current Stats:
- They pulled TU, unsure which version (TU F8 is 788, TU F9 is 801)
- Inquires < 6mo = 3; inquiries < 12mo = 5
- New Accounts < 6mo = 4; new accounts < 12mo = 8
- Collections = $0
- Delinquencies = 0
- Negative/Charged Off/Public Records = 0
- Credit Card Utilization = Under 1% ($2,400 / $623,000)
- Total Utilization = $37,000 / $660,000
- No Fraud Alerts or Freezes
My spidey sense tells me it was the inquiries/new accounts. Can't think of what else it could have been (maybe "too much available credit 
), but it's speculation until the letter arrives
So now the choice is, lay low and stop all serial-apping to snag this one up in 6 months, or On With The Rampage!?! 
Lame that they are being so strict with it. Sorry to hear. 
Interested to see what the reasons are. The card has such a crappy rewards setup that it's not worth gardening for.

Thanks for the DP. This card is going to be a big dud for DC for the lender they picked. It appers although not a ton of DP's that their strict underwritting applies for this card as well. Still not quite sure what they were thinking picking UMB vs Comenity or Cap1 or the likes, but probably will be a very rare card which is kinda sad.
Card certainly wont be a FOTM due to what appears to be no instant approvals, turns down very good profiles, people will be scared to apply now, etc.. Dead before it got out of the gate. My tu is 820 atm and know i won't take a HP for it now due you being turned down

@FinStar and @CreditCuriosity - I think the lack of instant approvals definitely holds it back from being a FOTM, but it's still possible. Reminds me of the Banco do Brazil frenzy
I'm still gonna keep an eye on DP's as they roll thru over the next few months and see if I can snag it up next year (assuming it's still around then lol)
