So after almost 2 months of getting the docs for DCU, I was finally approved for membership. I still haven't received any docs in the mail yet, but I got an email today from their Consumer Loan Dept to call them regarding my credit card application and for me to call them because they had some questions for me.
Any idea what else they might be needing?
If I had known this process would be this much of a PITA I wouldnt have bothered.
Had same thing long time ago with them.
Answered a couple questions .Then was told what my limit was.
At time was my first $5,000.00 Limit.. Remember the days that made me excited.![]()
I wouldn't sweat it.
Yeah, just wanted my income information, etc. Then they said they were going to do ANOTHER pull of my credit report. I immediately said no and backed out. When I applied, they made it sound like my application to DCU + the CC would be done in one pull. Two pulls? No thanks, especially since I don't even need the CC. Just want to establish a relationship with them for the future.
CSR lady not very friendly. What a GREAT start to banking with DCU. ![]()
When did they initially pull your credit for membership?
December 29th. Which may have something to do with it. I was having a really hard time getting them all the info they wanted to verify my address just to get admitted.
ouch
Ouch.
I called a couple weeks ago about an old membership I had with them. They couldn't help me on the phone and she sounded very rude. Told me to go to a branch. Atleast I live within a mile of one. Haven't gone yet. Now it sounds like I may not even go. ![]()

If it's been since December, chances are your report is stale dated. Also, DCU is known to pull for membership and loan products.

Good to know. I applied, because DCU is the only free FICO score I have access to.
