As a new member (Since July 2015) I can confirm that they still use EQ 04.
Awesome Thanks!!! He just applied and was given a your loan application is being processed. a DCU representative will be in touch with your shortly message.
I am not familiar with them at all, so I appreciate the feedback! his EQ FICO 04 score is 698.
They are one of the couple CUs' that use the FICO 04 score. In my case they denied me for a CO that was still showing on the 7/23 pull even though they also pulled on 7/29 and it was gone. They also cited too many inquires (8 total on EQ including two of their own) and a 6 1/2 year old judgement and 6 year old charge off that shows as unpaid on EQ but paid on EX. They would not pull EX to recon when I tried to call. What's your brother's EQ look like? Any baddies?
Earlier today he received an email saying Welcome to DCU. You will receieve the blah blah in the mail and if you need to finalize a credit or loan application, please call us. He did apply for a visa, which says pending still.
His EQ is clean, a charge off from 2009 paid, low utilization, a few new accounts and he said 13 inquiries. Pulled a myfico EQ report and his 04 is 698.
Hopefully they'll make a decision quicker than they did for me. I apped for a CC on 7/23 and didn't get my denial until 8/17. I ended up with three EQ HP's out of the deal I'm guessing one each for CC, membership and checking. One of the reasons they cited was too many inquiries yet they counted for three of my ten at the time. They also cited an upaid CO yet it only shows unpaid on EQ yet if they would of pulled EX as I've heard they can do they would have seen the correct reporting as paid. Also cited a CA but that showed on the 7/23 pull they did and updated and was off EQ on the 7/29 pull they also did. Wasn't really pleased with the results when I tried to recon with them. I had considered doing an auto refi with them but jeez that would be a fourth pull I bet. I thought NFCU was pull happy until I tried DCU. At least with Navy I got two cards and a LOC totaling 26K out of the deal.
