When my 3rd statement cut I hit the CLI and got a $4k increase. I however do run it up to just about the max of the card and pay in full. It seems as that's what they like, PIF or huge payments. I have done this to both my Discover cards and alway get significant CLI.
First statement hasn't even generated for me and I spent 2x my CL.
If I don't get a decent CLI after my 3rd statement cuts, I'll be pissed. LOL.
In the last 6 weeks any clis have said 2 day message. Before with the previous train it was more instant. Those were more frequently approved then.
Earlier this month I applied for the cli online, instant approval. Few days later (weekend) I requested a 2nd cli online, got the 2-day msg. on Monday i logged online and the second cli was approved (generous amount each time). However, this is an older account. Good luck, hope this helps.

So if I'm declined before the 3rd has cut can I try again after that time?
Yes. Up until the 3rd statement cuts, it appears to be an automatic decline for "not enough experience with current limit" and has no effect on future increases. I requested a CLI a few days before my 3rd statement cut and was declined and then got a $2K auto-CLI a couple of days after my statement cut, then requested a manual CLI and got an instant $500.

My cli was after the third statement cut. It was for 3k. Good luck!
