This morning when I logged into my Discover account, I saw this message:
Thanks for your loyalty! Now is the time to ask about increasing your spending power. Take a look.
Its tempting to to see if they approve for soft CLI.
My Current Credit limit on the account: $19,500
Current Balance: $6300
My current credit score: 760
what do you guys think? If the soft cli takes me past 20K, would it result in financial review etc? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
No financial review to worry about. Looks like you have an excellent shot at getting an increase! You have nothing to lose.
Thanks K-in-Boston. Will let you know what happens
So, I went ahead and they increased it by $500.
From $19.5K to $20K
Atleast it was an some sort of increase and 20 sounds better than 19.5 lol
Yeah the $500s have been pretty popular lately. Congrats on a nice round $20k, though!
Thanks K-in-Boston!

I signed in a few minutes ago to see if that came up, but nothing. Had you already had your most recent statement cut/FICO scores posted when the offer came up?

Statement not cut yet. I did notice though that my FICO scored was updated on their site on 07/29. I haven't logged on for the past few days, so wasnt sure when the notification for potential credit limit increase actually showed up.

Congrats. Ive noticed sometimes Discover teases with that lingo and when a person goes for it still gets zilch so good job getting that extra $500. Like K said, nice even 20 sounds like mission complete
Thanks AverageJoesCredit!
