Sorry you didn't get your CLI. Any negatives on your credit file in the last couple of years? How long has your banking relationship been with BOA? What is your current utilization on the card prior to applying for the CLI? Just looking at the income and limit fo the CC you'd think they'd increase the amount...something doesn't give, although others believe BOA wants a year with first time CC holders before giving a CLI.

Yeah I have one baddie student loan that was charged off that I PIF a year ago. It was reporting as Charge Off / FP every month for a long time. They won't delete it even though I paid it in full. I've been banking with BOA for years no overdrafts or anything at all & used my debit card for a ton of money. But I only had the credit card for 6 months at $1000.00. The credit card currently had a $0.00 balance on it when I applied for it this morning. I could try calling the number since it sounds like a denial. Maybe they can counter me to $3k or something.
Plus my FICO score with BOA said it was 699. Dunno why they're being so hard on me.
Don't feel bad, BoA was turned down my CLI 3 times w/a HP each time. Currently my lowest CL at $2k, zero derogs on any report, mid-700's scores (741 TU which they pulled last time) low 6 figure income and I'm not over extended as far as utility. I've already marked this account for closure at the end of the 12 month 0% apr promo rate in July.
You are not alone on the BoA S-list.
OP call the credit analyst and see why they denied you and recon if necessary.

Pipeguy,
How long have you had the BOA account, and did you recon with an Analyst after your denials, i'm no big fan of BOA but I will say that they really will hear you out when you ask for a review.

This account, since last July but I think the issue goes back to an account I closed in 2007 - $17,500 CL no lates, no issues other than I got PO'd over something I can't remember - paid the account off and told them to close it, which they did - only thing I can think of as to why BoA is being such as royal PITA today. I have been in contact through email and "chat" with BoA reps, but no I have not called the Credit Analyst - Solutions and I probably won't.
Anyway, no big deal - BoA has their ways and policies, I just don't jump through hoops anymore so I'll close the card come July unless they do an auto CLI (yeah like that'll happen).
Hey guys I logged in today and I saw that they raised my CL from $1k to $4.9k. I guess they don't think I'm worthy of a Visa Signature card $5k. I'll take it though! I only put through $1.5k through it over 6 months but I paid it in full even though it was on 0% APR. I guess a credit analyst may have seen that & liked it.
Congrats OP !!
Looks like I am alone on their s-list
