Why would anyone hate. Many people cold app because they don't have a pre-approval. None of mine were pre-approved.
1. Up to 2 months behind
2. You can try speaking to an underwriter, but it's hit or miss on if they'll pull a new report. The last one I spoke to flat out refused.
3. Have no idea if it will update it internally or if it will just be considered supplemental
4. Offering a 4056 would probably do a better job of getting you a higher limit.

Keep in mind too, that even if they used a previous score, they still likely SPd your reports in real time. They definitely looked at your EX, but they will SP your TU too sometimes. You've apped 6 cards in the last 4 days, so this may contribute to them being a bit skittish. I'd build the relationship with them through your BCE. They like transactors more so than revolvers, so use it and PIF. That will be your best bet to show them you're a reliable customer. Don't let the denial get you down, just make a solid plan and stick to it. Sometimes that means waiting it out, and that's the hard part. The Platinum will be in your wallet before you know it.

For sure but I think those old scores are what caused me to get the 1k SL. I don't mind gardening a bit and trying again later I just wish I had known they were going to use old scores.
No, you got $1000.00 because of lates and collections.
Even if they had updated score, you'd still probably end up with that same limit on Amex core card.
That's just how it is.
@wmr0919 Did you call and ask them reconsider with the new score? Ask them to make HP. Heck - 70 points difference is serious. I would call and demand them to get the new score, but will they do it I don't know. Good luck!

I am reading Amex CLI thread now - people say Amex underwiters use the old score even when your FICO is updated on Amex website.... Hmmm. So the question is after your EX FICO updated on AMEX - how long to wait (if you want them to use the new score) - two weeks, three? asking because my score is jumping now (new accounts, balances) and I am about to hit CLI button...

I don't have any collections and all lates are 36+ months ago. My TU and EQ have finally removed old student loans but Experian hasn't yet. This is the only ding outside of those late payments from 2017. Not saying I would have got a super high limit but had they pulled the report from anytime in the past week, my utilization was 3% and my Chase card that was 3300/3800 is now 0.

It doesn't matter how old the lates are, as long as they are reporting on your credit report it will continue to bring your scores down til they fall off assuming there are no other similar incidents

+1
I believe the general consensus with the big boys is that patience is a necessity. This is a long game. Especially when it comes to Chase, Amex, and the other "prime" issuers. You're doing good, you've got in the door, now it's time to move the rake around and fertilize a bit. If it were me (well, actually it WAS me 10 years ago), I would just relax and let the process work. Congratulations on your progress thus far.
