My BK was discharged 8/2015 and the next day NFCU gave me a $500 cash rewards card after recon. In October I applied for a second card and instantly approved for $1700 nrewards.
I have charged the limit on the cash rewards card every month and PIF except for one month, in December, left a $150 balance on it. I have left balances on the nrewards card, I needed to really use the credit for my new job...
November - $600 bal.
December - $1000 bal
January - $1600 bal.
February - $1000 bal.
March 5th will show $0 bal.
So I tried for CLI in November, 3 months after having the card - the cited the BK for the denial.
Tried again in January (this was stupid as all my balances were high, 62% util, all but one card reporting a balance) denied for excessive obligations.
6th statement just cut and tried again, util was down to 22% on only 3 cards, the other 8 had 0 balance. Denied.
I read all over this site how fast and soon NFCU gives out CLI's. I guess now since I have paid both the cards to 0 balance, and actually come March. I will be under 10% util.
Should I try again in March for a cli on the cash rewards card? or wait even longer?

i would wait. you can't take other people's success and try to determine your success based on that
Good advice and LOL at your Sig!! Good one!
EDIT: And yes, it was on "They Live."
I'm actually surprised you got a 2nd card. I tried and they declined me. Kind of jealous of that alone...lol I have been able to get a increase on my nRewards card but only after recon and sending in paystubs.
Yes. I told them that they were the only ones who wouldn't budge on my CL after 3 months and explained that Cap 1 had raised both of my limits already. Once I told them this, they asked for paystubs and then raised it the next day.
