If ever there was proof that there's more to approval than just your score, this is it.
Understand, I didn't want or have any use for a Credit One card - I just checked their pre-qualification on a whim to see what I'd be offered. Nothing, LOL.
I did get approved for a Discoverr yesterday, but can't provide the documention they want. To bad. I was going to use it to have a T-shirt made saying "I applied for Credit One and got turned down."
I absolutely loathe Credit One, but they serve their purpose, especially for those who barely have any choice.
I am not going to waste bandwidth defending them, but based on some cards in your siggy, you're not that far removed from "that" time.
I think it would serve us all well to remember where we came from.
Ummm. What docs cant you provide Disco? Why walk away from a good opportunity? I'll leave why try Credit One pre-qual as it is.

That's not where I come from. I'm not rebuilding - I have no US credit history prior to 11 months ago, no employment or residential history. Aside from the Capital One, none of my cards are anywhere close to subprime though

I can't provide a photo of my Social Security Card since I don't live or work in the United States.

You can still feel the wrath!
I understand your post and appreciate you sharing.
Good thing about being declined for Credit One on their prequal site

Credit 1 will deny people for too good of profiles as well as they target a certain market segment. You certainly have better cards then them as others eluded to
