As a person with a semi terrible past, I figured Credit One would pre qualify me for one of their terrible cards. I was wrong. But the reason givin is stupid in my eyes.
Anyone else had this weird of a denial for something you know is not right? I mean I would have been ok had it said "Credit History to short". but it didnt.
Sorry to hear but consider this a blessing in disguise. Do you have any secured cards now? If not, I'd look into it and forget credit one. Also, if you have not done so already check out the rebuilding sub-section on here as it has a wealth of info...
No, I don't have any secured cards. I just have a fingerhut account, Victoria's Secret and, NewYork & Co. Thought it would be a decent move to get a non store card, but I assume FICO makes no difference weather its store or prime or subprime card.
The rebuilding section has been helpful to me, I thought I would share my hallarious denial from Credit One, I am sure others have had similar denials that make no sense.

With your profile, you should get some secure cards in there to boost it.
Your scores are just way too low, and Credit One is unsecured. How many negatives are on your bureaus? Have you had any success in cleaning up your credit or are the negatives too new?
Can anyone add you as an au on 2 accounts? Try a secured card or 2 if you are able to afford it.
I don't have anything against the subprime cards like this with really low scores. Just get what you can and build a solid payment history while working to clean your credit. Your score will probably be in the 600's in 4-5 months.
