Way to go it never hurts to call and try a recon, again congratulations enjoy it have fun.
So I was just doing some research on here and discovered Citi is pretty averse to too many inquiries which could explain my denial for the Double Cash card. I had an application spree yesterday but none of those inquiries were reported on my report at the time Citi pulled my Exquifax.
I did however have inquiries from requesting CLI on severs cards, one open account, and two random ones from Citi Bank (CBNA) and Chase which is disconcerting because they just randomly did a HP without my permission (gonna dispute those). Those inquiries were on 8/22. So we got two inquiries for CLI on 9/17 (USAA and Chase) and one for an opened Capital One account.
So that's basically 3 authorized inquiries and 2 unauthorized. Those two unauthorized pulls notwithstanding, would the reconsideration factor in 2 of those 3 authorized inquiries being for CLI's that were approved (one even by Citi themselves?)

Inquiries are inquiries and it includes those performed by the same lender in question, regardless if those are CLI related or for new accounts.
If you are only showing those two cards in your profile might consider the cap1 venture x. If you are looking for travel cards, but it will require three hard pulls. I know I got denied becuz I had too many cards and this was even after I used to have a cap 1 venture and ran my mortgage psymrnts thru them

Tried calling Citi but they said I had to wait for the letter to arrive. The email I received from them this morning about submitting multiple applications was basically referencing my Double Cash denial earlier that day. It was not referencing the reason for the Double Cash denial which I have no use for since I was approved for the WF Active Cash right after. If reconsidered for that card I'll take it but if they need to do another HP for the Citi AAdvantage card I'll say don't bother.
Congratulations on your Chase approval.
Coincidentally I have that card, I just reach thes spend req to recieve the $75K welcome bonus points too! I was in the process of updating my signature so it was incomplete. Thanks for the suggestion tho! It is a sweet card.
