Discover has tightened up a bit on the CLIs. I once got a $8700 increase out of nowhere, but it's been $500 nibbles every 3 months since that.
I guess I should note that I put about $40K through Discover the year that I got the big lump increase.
Go for the PPMC, That TU score should net you a decent SL from Synch.

Take a deep breath, hold it, hold it, hold it, and exhale through your nose.
PPMC is Synchrony... what's the fuss about? It doesn't really matter what they approve you for since you can make a phone call to credit solutions later on and instantly bump it to 10K or 25K depending on how strong you profile is.

If you got a Disco increase earlier this month, odds are you wont get another one for at least 3 months if they give another one. Many of us go months on end without nothing. No real difference in a $4800 cl and a $5000 cl.
With your score, you can apply for a PPMC at any time and most likely get it. Your Disco cl has no bearing on your PPMC app.
I guess my concern a little bit is that I still carry the stigma of when I apped for disco back in 2017 @ the time I had a EX score of 769 & the inquiry dropped off 19 pts & when it had reported to the bureaus 2 weeks later I lost another 50 pts making my score 700. Also I guess it didn't help the I had a 32% util of 628/2000 balance reporting either. Also I'm not app crazy by any means either, I had 3 inquiries across the 3 bureaus @ the time.
I had no degros either so I'm still a bit confused why the big score drop from that app. Idk maybe its common for a big decrease in score between the 1st & 2nd app depending on the length of time (9 months btw) I know my AAOA & AOYA are much stronger now that it was back in 2017 obviously, (haven't apped in 17 months) so the chances of experiencing a score drop that big again probably isn't likely to happen.

Yeah I do like a nice even number, before my last cli, it was 4000, was trying to get a $1000 increase but came up short with request & DD. Also I believe I'm on $300 increases with disco, my largest was $400 & that was auto after my 4th statement came out.
I have a few questions...
Is that FICO or FAKO? I never assume anymore on here...
That said.. Yes you take a hit.. But you should have/have gotten it back roughly 6 months after the fact.....
If i count your cards right you have 2... one more might actually be an improvement to your score after the new account wears off....
There is some data about having 3 credit cards as the optimal number...
I wouldn't sweat the discover CLI before the Sync card.. You dont have a handful of Sync cards.. and seriously one card would probably do you more good than not... Should get an easy CLI on the Sync if not now, a few months out if your scores are there...
Sit back, relax, and app =)

Welcome to the big leagues. The higher your score, the bigger ding you'll take for anything, usually in the double digits.
