Just wait til #3 SJ, you'll get to @joltdude Special territory ($3k)
I'm not going for a 3rd Discover card.
The only reason I applied for a 2nd was so that I could join your thread @AverageJoesCredit
I was feeling left out.

I'm assuming that was a joke, but just checking.. you can't really get a 3rd Discover, can you? I'll ride the one year cash back match train until it derails, but I thought the tracks stopped after card #2.

You can cancel/merge one and get a third but you can’t have three at once.
Interesting! I was planning on merging most of the balance the newer card to the old card anyway.. perhaps I'll cancel it afterwards and roll the dice on another year of cashback match.
So, finally pulled the trigger on this. Been able to do it for over a month and been wanting to, but been hesitant. First card has been stuck @ $3600 since late last year, IIRC. Did manage to get them to drop the APR down a few % too at the 1 year mark. Ended up 0% 14 month Intro/BT and 23.24% after and $4500 SL. Previous card was $1200 SL and 24.99%. So the barely noticeable difference in APR was one thing making me hesitant/worried that I was going to get a lower SL again, but I was being offered the 0% this time around where I wasn't before. Not that the APR matters, don't really carry balances anymore.
Also noticed that my offers for BTs went from like the typical 0%/3% & 4.99%/0% to .99%/3% and 5.99%/0% (but 18m opposed to 12m like before). So that was something else that kinda had me a bit hesitant.
First card always PIF and put most of my monthly spend through. Plan on doing the same with this and did 5% this time opposed to the 2% I did last time (thought it was 2% all, misread. D'oh!). Hopefully it grows! Was hoping for more, but at least glad it was greater than the first in both starting and "ending" and gives a little wiggle room if I ever decide to carry a little under the 0%.
EX8: 686 & 0 INQ last 12 months. That's what they pulled last time, so assuming that's what they did this time aswell. Gotten no alerts from the FAKO sites on the other reports, so guess will have to wait until tomorrows update on EX to see if they pulled. 8% over all utilization with all of that being 40% single utilization on NFCU Platinum 0% offer. Everything else is $0/0%. BK discharged 12/16 and have 2 lates still reporting until the end of the year when they should fall off.
EDIT: Yeah, got hit with EX a little bit ago. NBD.
Total side note here. Do you actually get other card designs once you get the card and what not? Current Chrome has so many more options than the handful of solid color & raindbow one that were the only choices given for the 5% one. I don't remember if it's like that at first, then the others open up once you get all setup after.

I've had the tape cassette design since mine was secured last May
Yeah, that's what I started with with my first card, come to think about it. So definitely did seem like more were available on the 2% Chrome for me (at least initially) than what I was given this morning with the 5% one.
