@Anonymous wrote:I’ve had a secured Discover IT card since May of last year. We had a ch7 BK discharged a month prior and we were starting over. We’ve rebuilt our credit nicely since and my latest approval last month was with NFCU with a 5K SL. My Discover still has yet to graduate even with all scores in the mid 600s. They can’t tell me why either. We always pay the statement balance ever since I got it. I tried for a preapproval for a 2nd Discover and they had two for me; another IT and a Chrome. The rate was a solid 24% but I didn’t go through with it as I’d really rather mine graduate.
Anyone else experience this with Discover?
Keep in mind, You can call Disco every 6 months or so and ask for a APR rate reduction. My 1st it card is now down to 18%
my 2nd it card is still in the 0% promotional first year. I would never carry a balance even at 18%
But it sure feels good to get it lowered.
APR = AveragePuertoRican ...Poor @AverageJoesCredit ... such a good sport

I got my first disco card secured when i was at 549, but it did graduate on the 7th month like clockwork ( i had to find out by calling in, nothing was ever sent to me) The 2 years after that, it would never get a CLI or if i did it was 200 once every 6 months if i was lucky. Second card was much better, and i ended up just combining them and moving on. You may have to do the same honestly.

I agree. Better just call in. At least you should be able to talk to your doppelganger
I have a second (2nd) card pre-app since it's been a year since the first (2nd) card was approved. Not sure, but another year of CB match and 0% sounds good.

There has been tall of Discover not giving DCB after you had it already. Not sure how true that is but having another Disco is funif you can get DCB id say go for it!
I did, DCB on (1) PayPal purchase 5+5=10% on a $1500+ purchase.
"How sweet it is" ..(sorry no pun intended)
another 5% on 2nd it $1500 PayPal cat. purchase
I have not read through the big thread but thought I might just ask here:
Does an AU card count as a first card? I was recently added as an AU to a Discover that is 9 years old to boost my score, so do I need to wait 1 year before applying?
