Thanks, MJ!
I will continue to "sing the virtues" of gardening... and I'm enjoying my own time there now!

You're very welcome!
If they are stingy at first just hang on... I'm proof that they can be very generous when the stars are aligned correctly... LOL!
I suspect this will be the last 'super CLI' I see from Discover; going forward my swipes with them will be small and basically only for purchases in their quarterly categories so I'll probably only use a small part of my current credit line, anyway.
Not necessarily. I've spent very little on my Discover card, and my last two increases were $4500 and $5000. But, after I finally spent some real money in April, (needed car repairs), I got the 3-5 day buzz off message in May and again this month.

That's good to know!
Unlike many folks on here I don't have a high income on my side, so I've got that working against me as well. In any case it's OK either way (it's certainly fine now) but when September rolls around I'll probably give it another try just to see what happens. If they tell me to 'buzz off' I won't be complaining, though... I might share the details here for others, but I certainly won't be upset.
Of course Discover can also be hard to predict at times (as your example reminds us)... thanks for letting me know there might be more to look forward to!

You and me both. In fact, at $21,250 my Discover is already over half my annual income.
Congrats UB! Nice!

They gave you a CLI that you will never use because the 0% and double cash back promotion expired.
As a data point I think most have received large CLI after the 0% promo.
Not necessarily . Discover had been known to offer 0% purchase APR for 'retention. I got my card in 2013, only used it for a series of BTs before I found MF. I then started askiing for CLIs, got in on the double cash and then got a 0% offer when I just called about lowering APR while gardening. Worked out to be a fab thing with the double cash, particularly during the Apple Pay thing.
DIscover does some neat and surprising things.

Thanks TortoiseWins!
Once my promo APR is over in August I hope they will have a 'surprise' up their sleeve for me as well!
Given the choice of another year at 0% or a permanent reduction, I'll take the 0% again hands-down. I like not having to worry about PIF to avoid interest (sometimes it's easier to get caught up the next month) and I can always try for a permanent reduction next year. <fingers crossed!>
