So I was searching around a bit on the boards and it seems like 90 days after account opening is the minimum to wait before trying for a CLI?
Also, we had some vet bills come up and had to put quite a bit on this card, it currently has a balance of 1400 with a 6k CL. Would that 23% utilization affect the chances of the SP CLI getting approved? Do they prefer it lower than that?
Current at 707-722 FICO on all 3 CBs, 24% overall utilization, 1 baddie from 5 years ago (30 day late), 4 recent accounts in last 2 months (Amex 614/4100, Discover, BOA 4900/5000 due to BT over a closed cc, Citi Diamond 0/6300), 4-7 inqs across all 3 cbs most from auto loan in jul 2017.

I had a secured DIscover card for a entire year when they finally returned my deposit and gave me a CLI to 2k. So year, one whole year.
For my own part, my plan with my new Discover IT is to put as much of my grocery spending (which usually I do with cash) on the card as possible during the upcoming 5% CB period, and pay it off with the cash I'd normally spend at the supermarket checkout. That should work out to $250 a month spend and payoff easily, so I'm planning to try for my first CLI after Discover pulls TU (they do it at the end of the month) after the third statement cuts. With that activity, I'm hopeful for a good boost.
