Discover CLI question

I've had my Discover for a little over 3 months.. Received a CLI about 3 weeks ago for $500. I want to make a larger purchase in the next month but would like a CLI since I love using this card. I asked for it using website but was declined. Would it make a difference if I called in and asked for it or do you think it would be a straight decline? Any input would help.

Pretty sure, it's all the same. If anything automated systems i feel are better for cli purposes. the Rep would just punch your ingo into the system.

Automated isn't always better... Take for example my walmart card, I applied for CLI on the website and was denied but a week later I called in via walmart back door number and got an additional $4,500 credit increase. BTW I called discover and they mentioned to me I couldn't apply for increase until the 1st of Sept.

I thought you could ask at anytime.😕

I guess! Lol thought it was weird the rep told me I could then maybe noticed something on my account then took it back and said after Sept 1.😣

yes you could ask anytime after you qualify, whether they give you one or not is a whole different story.
