Discover IT

I checked the status on a Discover App I put in and got this:

You're almost done. Thank you for your application. Your reference number is xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

We just need a few more minutes of your time.

Please call to verify some information so we can continue processing your application at 1-800-347-4736.

Monday - Friday:  8AM ET - Midnight ET
Saturday - Sunday:  9AM ET - 9PM ET

Is this a good sign or is it a denial? Myfico says I have a TU at 722 and a EQ at 608, Experian won't even pull a report or score.

Re: Discover IT

Hard to say your EQ is on the low side but history says when they ask to call usually its a higher APR and or shorter 0% timeframe offer

Give them a call and good luck

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Discover IT

That's a maybe but if it was a straight out denial they'd have denied you so it's probably a good sign.

They may offer you slightly different terms from what you applied for - maybe a different intro period or a different APR or something.  A lot of time if they counter they'll counter on the web but sometimes they need to verify stuff over the phone.

Re: Discover IT

I'd say it's better than an auto-denial but not as good as an auto-approval.

Went through this same thing with Capital One Quicksilver 1. They wanted me to provide proof of DL / SS Card / and Address Verification. Once submitted CO approved the application. Also, right now I am awaiting an EO Decision from Ctit DCB after calling the EO line. And, Amex BCE still "In Progress" they said a letter is coming and once I get it to look it over and call them.

It stinks waiting for decisions....Smiley Mad

Sorry to hear .....was it due to the EQ score?

Re: Discover IT

She said she could not tell me, however a letter will be sent out explaining the denial. It's all good, I've been doing well so far!
