Discover Secured Card Offer Expired

Has anyone's offer ever expired and they still where offered the sucured card within several days? It's only been 3 days since It expired.

Call them and see if they are willing to make an exception for it.  It does not hurt to ask.

This happened to me, sort of. I went through the process and realized I wanted to deposit more than I had available at the time. When I went back to the link provided in the email it was no longer good. I called and spoke with a representative who told me that they didn't show I ever accepted the offer (despite having received all the emails etc.). They told me to re-app and that it would probably get stuck because the other app was in the system still. They said once I did that to call them back so they could do something on their end to get rid of the original app and reprocess the second one. There was no additional hard pull. Once that was done I was able to complete the funding process for the card. Good luck!

Was that for the discover it secured card? Mine expires tomorrow. I want to wait til Friday when I have more money. Or, should I accept the app and hope they have me verify deposits from them first? Does this happen with everyone?

You can apply for the secured it directly anytime from their site now, you no longer have to receive and accept an offer. So you should be able to apply anytime you are comfortable doing so. But if you already took the HP you might want to call them and see if you can wait until Friday.

I actually app'd for an unsecured card way back on March 4th with a EQ score of 614. I was denied and pushed towards the secured card which I accepted. After the test deposits, my bank had flagged my checking account (unrelated to Discover) and the secured deposit did not go through. I called the # on the "rejection" letter I got from Discover this past Saturday, the 26th, and they were still able to use my original HP from the 4th to push my app through. So long story short, they should be able to re-use your original application score.

Thank you so much!!! That was the best answer I've found throughout the entire site. Quick question.... if they were allowing me to give my bank info, does that mean I was approved? My email said....we just need one more thing to send your card. Routing and account number for your deposit. That's it! Does this mean I'm approved? I'm gonna call Friday morning to deposit the funds.

Yes if they are asking for your money your approved. In fact if you were offered the secured in the first place you were already approved, congrats.
