What were your scores when you graduated?
Tu 747, EX 713, and EQ 726. All of my baddies had fallen off my reports shortly after I got the card last year. Also, my last new account and INQ was last July (I've been in the garden since then). My overall util is 16%, but I have high (>50%) util on one card (not the Discover). I have been using my Disocver heavily though since last June because I was lucky enough to have the double cashback added when they first started advertising it.
That really sucks that yours hasn't graduated yet. Do you have any baddies? New accounts/INQs? It might be a good idea to start using the card heavy and garden for a few months and see if that helps. I know on their website it says that after having the card 1 year they will automatically review your account every month to see if you're eligible to graduate. If none of that helps, then maybe you can try to speak to someone a little higher up at Discover?

My scores are no where near yours and I still have 4 collections and 6 CO that are all set to fall off in August. I have been in my rebuild since 2013 and I have come a long way but i still have a ways to go. So I'm in no rush but I will garden at least until Aug once the baddies fall off and then we will see what happens.
Ok, I'm going to assume it's the baddies then. If all (or most) of them are set to fall off in August, I would advise you to start asking each bureau for "early exclusion" now. This is what I did with my baddies last year - one wasn't supposed to fall off until July, and the other wasn't supposed to fall off until September - and I got both removed in March/April simply by asking for early exclusion. TU and EX removed them within 24 of my phone call to them, but EQ was a bit tougher and took nearly 30 days to remove them.
Hi all! I am not sure how to start a new post, I have been reading the excellent info on this site for months, but I just recently set up an account. So I was approved for the Discover secured card! I applied a couple of days ago and I just called to verify that I was actually approved and the woman I spoke to told me that they should be taking my deposit out of my account within the next couple of days. I am so excited to be a part of the Discover family! I was just wondering what kind of score increase I can look forward to? I currently have a Capital one secured card which was started with a 250 deposit and then increased to 500 at the 6 month mark. I also have a Capital one Quicksilver card, a Victoria's Secret card, as well as a couple of other store cards and A Sportsman's Visa with a 1500 limit. I have to collections accounts that are about 5 years old. Any info you guys can provide is greatly appreciated. I have learned so much on this site!!

Congratulations!! It's hard to say what kind of score increase you will get, but as long as you use your cards responsibly, keep your utilization low, and pay on time every time, your scores will continue to increase over time. You'll see the biggest increase once your collections fall off your reports.

Thanks! I have been very responsible with my payments, not missing any and definitely not being late at all. I usually pay multiple times each month. My collections aren't even for credit cards; one is a utility bill and the other is for breaking a cell phone contract with sprint. The secured capital one is my first card ever! I plan on using the discover card at least a couple times each month and paying it in full each month. Should I add more to the increase the credit line after a couple of months??

If I were you I would add more funds to it whenever you can, because once it graduates that will be what your limit is. Some have been able to get a CLI with just a SP after it graduated, but I wasn't one of the lucky ones - they want to HP me and I'm not ready for that yet. So my advice is to add as much funds as you can, just in case when it graduates you don't get stuck with a low limit.
My card just graduated and I had a $200 deposit. I hit the CLI button and was upped to $700. My scores were in the mid 600's.
