Discover decline and again through EO

I wrote them that it's ridiculous I was declined with 701 or something within a couple points of that according to their tu denial letter.
He was nice last week but today when calling me back seemed to have lost his brain and practically went to reading my original denial letter.
I flipped and that's when he was like the main denial reason was "to much available credit."
I said I can't handle that, thank you and good bye!

Re: Discover decline and again through EO

How much available credit do you have? Was this for the IT or Miles? You already have a Discover card right? Anyway they'd let you reallocate your existing limit to open a new tradeline?

Re: Discover decline and again through EO

I don't know your full situation, but I mean, with 83 cards you cannot be too upset with a denial. Credit is not an infinite resource and unless you are truly wealthy, you're going to plateau eventually. It's based on income and other factors. Your score is a factor, but not the whole picture.

Sorry you were declined, though. Too much available credit sounds about right! Smiley Tongue

Re: Discover decline and again through EO

Anyone wanna bet he will try again next month or the month after until he gets approved?  Takers?

BTW he will get approved, it isn't whether he will it is when he will and he knows that.  Inquiries won't stop it from happening nor the amount of credit he has... CA is on a mission and typically gets what he wants after enough tries

Too funny Finstar.  Sorry CA.  Discover is strange.  When I first applied back in 2013, I was denied and then reapplied in two months and was approved for $6,500.  They tend to not like too much available credit from my own experience based off of my last $500 CLI approval.  Won't be requesting another CLI with a HP from Discover.  Good luck to you.
