will do, she is off to bed, so I will pressure her to do it tomorrow. When you say double dip you just mean asking for a lot more correct? It would still be a little pitiful if it were double to $1000 Smiley Happy She has excellent credit though so she may get some good increse I hope. Thanks again!!!

Just say you were surprised at the low approval and if they can increase it more, CSR will give whatever the computer say is available if more is available. It's impossible to nail down any patterns with Discover CLIs, data point is all over the map, no evidence that declining offers will lead to better offers in the near future, best strategy is to take what they give, keep using the card and pay on time, then ask every 30 days.

Re: Discover it CLI disclaimer for Hard Pull

Discover will notify you if they require a hard pull...

Yes if you want to try to get an extra scoop of CLI, you really have to do it within 24 hours after the approval..

You can ask as often  as you want for a CLI... in the past id do it after the date discover pulls my TU score.... monthly.. if it were nowadays id wait roughly 3 months between attempts but thats me... i dont like wasted paper for the denials... er.. not enough experience with current CL

Also.. 2 day can go either way.. and it can take longer than 2 days and *still* get an approval....

2day = an actual human does a once over on the approval... most of my approvals have been 2 day..

Re: Discover it CLI disclaimer for Hard Pull

If you’re not instantly approved when you hit the luv button and get the disclaimer, you just don’t submit the request if you don’t want the HP. Just cancel or close out of the window.

|| AmX Cash Magnet $40.5K || NFCU CashRewards $30K || Discover IT $24.7K || Macys $24.2K || NFCU CLOC $15K || NFCU Platinum $15K || CitiCostco $12.7K || Chase FU $12.7K || Apple Card $7K || BOA CashRewards $6K

Re: Discover it CLI disclaimer for Hard Pull

UPDATE:

We called in today.

I was able to get them to review the CLI request and they were able to approve me for a whooping $500 and when I asked why so little, they said it was because of my score and report blah blah. Available CL is now 9k

For my GF, they said they can't do more than $500 blah blah. Smiley Happy

Anyways. Thank you all for your replies and I will hit the luv button every 30 days as suggested from now on!

I'm almost certain they will prompt you again if they need to HP, but if you want to be sure, 110% sure, sign up for TrueIdentity by TU (free service) and lock up TU before hitting the button.

Thanks mate for that link in your post, this will be quite handySmiley LOL
