So I hit the CLI button over the weekend... Just waiting for the letter in the mail... Kinda expected the infamous 500$ CLI but nope.. nada...nothing
Debating on hitting it again. I swear every time i try for a CLI on the weekends I usually dont get it... but if i resubmit it even a few days later... Tada!
this 8300 CL is nice, but that 300 is bothering my obsessive tendencies....
Goal is for 10K by Xmas/New Years
Now to wait another 31 days or resubmit... Decisions, Decisions...

So far iv been doing pretty well.. so cannot say im not surprised... perhaps im a bit too greedy...
But my score did go up 20 pts between now and last months cli.... hence why i was hoping...
its strange though. but then so isnt discobunny disco..
Read someone else got 0 on their 5th statement period.. but got it after the next one....
Perhaps its a slowdown vs a complete stop...
Im gonna findout....
wait a few months and try again. Discover has been great when it comes to my CLI so my advice is be patient and try again soon
I recommend requesting a CLI from Discover every month about 5 days after they report to the bureaus and your FICO score updates. For example, your due date is the 1st, Discover reports on the 4th (and your FICO score updates at this time +/- 1 day) I'd recommend requesting a CLI every month on the 9th. Why at this time? From looking at data on these forums, it seems that 90% of the auto CLIs that Discover gives out are between the date they report and 4-5 days after... so in this example from the 4th-9th. This gives you the opportunity to wait and see if you get an auto CLI. If so, you can still request one (and get it) the day after. If you don't get an auto CLI, your account info has just been updated and they will be going off of the most recent information for your CLI request. I strongly suggest just prior to this using the card a lot and PIF prior to requesting the CLI. Although my Discover history isn't extensive, I've done a ton of reading about their CLIs on this forum and believe that this is the best technique to use and receive monthly CLIs... or at least give yourself the best possible chances at monthly CLIs.
To hit your 10K goal I'd hit the button every week and let the 2 day messages flow freely and you might just annoy them enough to put you up to 15K instead so you leave them alone
I picked Mondays in my journey and grew nicely for the first year. Now I've scaled back to every 2 months from every week.
Update
Got the two denial letters in the mail...
Same message.. Insufficient experience with current limit on discover card...(discover definition.. I poked the bear too soon)
Fico was 744 TU on both notices.. both a week apart....
On to 61 days.....
(almost there ironically enough)
