I always receive the "2 day" message.
I'm not sure if having the account open for 6 months started the large CLI's or it was me changing my payment habits; I would usually make multiple payments a month but stopped doing that and started making 1 payment per month.
Thanks! and I would put my vote on changing things up to a normal account usage with the use and just pay it all at once. Just keep at it and it will keep growing.
For CLI maximization purposes, I think that making 1 large payment per month (with a PIF) is usually best. When a CL is too low and forces multiple monthly payments, that's a different story of course. I do understand that there are other reasons out there such as people liking to budget payments weekly and such that some may prefer doing multiple CC payments monthly.
Well, paying it down and letting it report with some lenders might make a difference there's no anecdotal evidence that Disco wouldn't approve with that balance. 1100/1200 though is a bit high. The perk is that it's a SP for any attempt. I think maybe pulling back a little bit and keeping it that way for awhile might be a better approach in general for the CLI or even venturing out to NFCU for another card. Just take your time and it will pay off more so than running things up and making larger payments.
I've found that putting a monthly bill on your card each month shows better management and CLI results than pushing the limit. Disco is the odd duck where some strategies might get you into the slow boat with gaining ground as far as your CL is concerned. Especially when you're starting out with them on the lower end of the scale when it comes to your opening CL. I would pay it down over the next couple of month and resist the urge to hit the button for the time being until maybe March. Hold off on the NFCU app until maybe June while things age and show more positive history. After that maybe in Dec for for your PF app.
I'm just sensing you're seeking new cards aggressively from your statement. While a taste of an approval now and again is nice it's still like scoring some crack and can get out of hand easily.

I am going to make a big payment on my Disco tomorrow bringing me from nearly 1100 (out of 1200) down to 500. Can I try to CLI after the payment posts or do I need to wait until after this statement?
Even with a $500 balance on a $1200 limit, you're still at 42% utilization which is very far from ideal and certainly not something that lenders like to see. Some have reported nice Discover CLIs in the second threshold above single-digit utilization which would cover you through the 20's... so I'd suggest taking your balance down to at least $340 or less, give or take, to get you into the upper 20's. I think down in this range you'd get more favorable CLI results than where you currently stand. Just my opinion. Like austinguy907 said though, CLI requests are SPs so you really have nothing to lose by trying.
Proceed to GO and collect $6K

It's a good way to start 2017 with Disco!!!
Adding some data points here...
I applied and was approved for the card on 11/18/16 with a lovely limit of $800. First statement cut 12/2. Between 11/18 and 12/2, I put and paid off $90, between 12/3 and 12/2, I put through ~1400 and let a balance of 110 report and paid it off. For 1/3-2/2, I put through and paid off ~1000. Woke up this morning to a $500 increase. Not terrible, right? Couldn't have done it without lurking and learning here!!
Should I go online and request another increase?

Yes, they may give you more. If not, try again 3/6. Good luck.

I went on and requested it, got another $700, so from $800 to $2000 in a couple of months. Amazing! Also, they are showing my score at 651 on my statement, if that helps anyone else.
