Another increase today.....1.5k.
Limit now at 7k.
Last increase 5-14 @ 3k.
Man, the data points just keep flowing in that lower limit cards are able to score CLIs still without a hitch where the higher limit cards all seem to have plateaued for 5-6 months in many cases.
For sure BBS..... There's a couple of outliers we've spotted but, for the most part anything over 20K seems to be stuck in the mud. I still think the 20+ crowd got the clock reset with the fix. It's been 3 months or so in a couple of weeks since they applied the change to the system and things should open back up soon. It's kind of a wait and see at this point. The upswing on approvals breaking 5 digits though is kind of intreresting since Disco is more conservative with SL's typically over the past couple of years. The dynamic is changing course it seems when it comes to new / existing accounts. That itch you posted about should be subsiding a bit with the denials weekly
I hear you. It would be nice to get a CLI in a few weeks if the clock was reset as syou suggested may have been the case. Also, next week marks my 1 year anniversary with Discover, so maybe I'll get some anniversary love. We'll see. Based on how quickly I was building the card with monthly CLIs at the start, I thought for sure Discover would be my highest limit card by now with a limit somewhere at $30k+... instead it's my 3rd highest limit and those other 2 cards (which I prefer not to use relative to Discover) are at $30k+. I hope the second half of 2017 is better than the first with respect to Discover CLIs!
Do you guys have data n student card CLI upper boundaries? Could it be even lower than 20k? I just had to get the $20 gpa bonus and even more since I"m still getting cashback match.
Here is some recent data on the student it: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Approvals/Discover-It-Student-CLIs-1-year-later/td-p/497...
Day 29 - No CLI
Day 31 - $1700 CLI

Very interesting - as one of those "lower-limit card" holders, I'll have to see what happens when I try the CLI button again next month. I wasn't really aware earlier that some people are getting automatic CLI's every 90 days; I thought that was a one-time deal. My TU score upticked a bit which may help (but the CLI's have apparently not been reported to any CRA yet, probably no surprise given that it was just a few days ago).
