Does AU count towards 5/24?

I am currently at what I believe is 6/24: I am primary user in 4 cards (one of them closed), and authorized user in 2. I thought that disqualified me for a CSR/CSP but I have read from a few users that AU cards don’t count, in which case I’d be at 4/24. Is this correct?

You can expect to be auto-denied but you can recon and point out to the UW which card(s) for which you're an AU, they can choose to override.

You can also consider getting removed as an AU, applying for the card after your reports update, then getting added back as an AU.

I can't say for sure, but I imagine that AU would NOT count. I would assume that only applications submitted by you would count toward 5/24. If you apply and get denied, recon like crazy and mention that you're an AU and have not applied/opened these accounts yourself.

I have heard that being over 5/24 because of AUs can and does happen, but AUs do not count. You would need to apply, get auto rejected and then call in to the reconsideration line and have a human review your application and see your credit report and note which accounts are AU vs primary.
