Does macys credit card send denial letters

I called and finally got a supervisor of their credit analyst department. Not that it helped at all. She didnt even know what she was talking about. She said you can only have 3 in the last 6 months . I only had 2 before their hp. And I know my credit report shows that because i have experian online. I can see every detail of my report. Being declined for 2 hp in 6 months the rest almost 2 yrs old a year and acouple 9 months ago. Shouldnt result in a denial if their supervisor says only 3 hp in 6 months. However I have given up. I wont be applying for anymore dsnb cards. Their loss of a extremely good customer. I've spoken to other credit card companies and their able to do recons and dont mind acouple hps. Their also knowledgable at their jobs. Macy and dsnb bank are a joke. They can keep their card. I wont be wasteing anymore hps on them.

The only reason I was denied was hps. But from what supervisor said I was below what they expected as a requirement. I just think somewhere they messed up doing my application. But I wont be reapplying with them again. I'll stick with commenity and bank credit cards.

Sorry for the denial.

That said, There is no sense in taking a denial as personally as you are or with this much anger.

The reason of inquiries is the reason they gave you. It’s probably not the only reason they denied your application. Reconning 3x isn’t going to get you anywhere either.

What are your scores and what does your credit file look like?

My scores are almost at 700. My credit file is good. Low usage long account history and mixed accounts. Extremely good payment history. Never late. And I'm not mad I'm just saying they dont know what their talking about. And there is no recon going on they dont do that. I wanted one simple answer from them before I was to ever waste another hp on them. And my letter and them stated the only reason i was turned down was because of hps that's it.

Something doesn’t add up. Sub-700 scores are not produced by long history, mixed accounts, and low utilization with no negative payment history.

I’d take a look at your credit reports and see what’s in there.

I recently had 3 collections hit my report. Medical Bill's.

There ya go. I'd point to that as a factor in your denial. 

Get those cleared up and your have better success across the board. Good news is medical collections are often the easiest to deal with.

Sorry to hear this didn't work out OP. I'm surprised at the reason cited because I just got Macys Amex and Bloomies Amex with 6 HPs on Experian : 4/6mos & 6/12mos. Unfortunately, Macy's doesn't seem like a good match for your current file. I've had the same with banks who are not interested, period, and will give any reason for denial. Remember, most in the game have experienced denials. Now chin up, there are plenty others open for business!!

I dont think it had anything to do with the deragatories because all I have is like 4 or 5. Only those were recent. The rest are 5-6 years. I just got a bunch to come off my report from disputing them. I really believe macys just isnt a fit for me and wont be applying again. Theres other cards I want more. Truthfully I was just getting it for some stuff my sons wanted from there and after that to give me more available credit on my profile. After using it for the holidays I'd barely use it again because I dont have macys around me. But o well. I didnt really care that much. I just wanted a straight answer from the credit card company. That was what was frustrating me more than anything. Plus pretty much being called a liar from someone who had no idea what they were talking about.
