Re: EX-cc-R they

If EX is your lowest score, why would you want something that pulls that bureau? Looks like you need to be looking for TU pullers. 644 is a borderline score and lenders might end up pulling another bureau just to be sure.

Barclays and Discover are TU pullers. Sometime Discover will pull EQ to open a new account.

Re: EX-cc-R they

Barclays NFL extras and Apple  were both TU pulls that declined my app. Discover required EQ (658 CK) but on freeze so said no wont unfreeze.

So now with one inq on EX & 644 score, atleast one Mc/Visa? thats all?

Maybe texaco/chevron biz fleet first then

Bank of America rewards or AmeriCard (did not approve on pre-qual)

WF RewardsVisa

what you think? can afford three inq now on EX before July end.

Your thread may get more hits in the credit card or credit card applications subforums. Good luck with whatever you choose to apply for though...

I appreciate your question, but why are you applying for credit so furiously when you have one secured card and one card maxed out??? That's not a recipe for success. No offense intended, but perhaps you're not ready for additional credit to be extended to you. It's clear that's the message the lenders are sending with denials, is it not? Pay down your balances and save the HPs for when you have a better credit profile.

Re: EX-cc-R they

Quite honestly as another mentioned why would you want to use EXP when that is your lowest score?  Be hard pressed to get approved with that score for a Visa/MC..  Also you ulitilzation you said is at 73%(huge red flag to lenders)?  You never want to apply for credit with utilization like that, basically a kiss of death on an application.  Get your utilization down is my best advise to you and see where your score reside then once you are are around 30% utilization..  It sucks, but your best results will happen getting Utilization down!

Re: EX-cc-R they

You can try getting a CLI for your Lowes card.  You can call credit solutions (see backdoor number sticky).  Do I think you will be approved?  No, but it is a SP.   If you can get a CLI it will help your overall util, but even one card maxed out is a red flag.

Normally, I would say your best bet would be a secured card.  But I am assuming you don't have the cash to lock up for a secured card.   If you have to have another unsecured credit card, Credit1 may be your easiest approval.  But it is a crappy card.   If you have a relationship with a local CU, now is the time to see what their CC criteria are.  Some CU's are easy approvals.  Some CU's are very conservative.

If you are willing to unfreeze all of your credit reports, Cap1 might be willing to give you a Platinum or QS1.  I doubt they would give you a very high limit (not that Credit1 will either).   If you are just looking for a third credit line, it would be an option.

If your debt is really more than you can handle right now, you might want to consider applying for a personal loan via Prosper, Lending Club, etc.  Moving the debt from revolving to installment will give you a big credit boost.  I am not sure what scores they are looking for, but people with low scores only because they have high utilization are prized in the p2p lending arena.   CK has a pre-qual link for one of them (I don't remember which one).  It would at least give you an idea if you qualify.

The best advice I can really give you, though, is to pay down your utilization.  Get to the point where you PIF every month.  Once there, you will have many better options.

Good Luck.

Re: EX-cc-R they

Like others have said, you need to get your utilization down.  CCC don't like to give credit to people who need it.  That is part of the game.  I don't think that you will get approved with anyone with that high of utilization.  You will need to show them that you can handle the credit that they give you by handling the credit that you already have.
