BofA usually goes for TU first, may pull EX if additional info necessary. I wouldn't apply for BofA, or probably too many other CCs, with util at 73%.

I think BoA normally pulls EX for app's. For normal account reviews/CLI's they pull TU. I assume as with any CCC, they could pull multiple CRA's for marginal apps.
UPDATE
got approved for a chevron/texaco personal card and got declined/denied for their Advantage Visa Card. SL is $500.
Glad to have a gas card in my name.
Thinking of applying with Sam's Club Master Card in-store?
Prosper/Lending Club was applied in June with the current EX scores and was declined stating reasons the credit score wasnt enough for approval.
Lowe's Card was also applied for CLI right after approval and was declined.
I have a Cap 1 card (QS 1) with $1500 limit that is almost all used up.
So profile now reads
Merrick Bank Bal $3/$250 secure card
Cap1 QS1 Bal: 1494/1500
Kohls Bal $0/$300
Lowe's Bal $0/300
Chevron/Texaco Personal Card : $0/$500
Paid up Student Loans/Installment Loans 5 Tradelines
7Inq on TU(<3 mos), 2 Inq on EQ ( >1 yr)and 3 Inq on EX (>1 yr).
I think Sam's Club Credit Card will be the mastercard i m looking for to complete my profile
or Wells Fargo Rewards or Cash Back card might also do the trick? an EX pull i suppose.

Congrats on the Cap 1 approval. Sam's Club CC is kinda hard to get. My BF has a score of 695 and did not qualify for the MC version; he got the store card version. He is hoping when the card reaches $5k they will offer to upgrade it. My Sam's PLOC is $600 and when the statement post, I will attempt to get it to $2.5k. We all want great results immediately, but credit takes time. I am learning that lesson myself. Never thought that I would have to have a secured card, but I have 2 and am starting to see results from taking baby steps. I have 1 collection left to fall off, so I'm happy with my progress so far. I have almost $30k in tradelines myself now when a year ago I had an auto loan and a kohl's card. You will get there eventually. Celebrate the small victories and maybe consider gardening. No new apps for me for 6 months (don't want to anger Barclays), but that doesn't mean I can't work on improving the profile I have now.
I got the discover denial in the mail today and i was told it was due to my EQ freeze.
I called in discover Recon and a sweet lady took my info from the app and opened up EX for me. Result : DECLINED AGAIN.
Discover It Asked me if i would want to have a joint application. What does that mean?
So its confirmed my EX or TU is not exactly ready for cc apps.
learning the hard way. one failed Hard Inquiry hit on EX for nothing but also opens my eyes to gardening for a while now.
Just happy with TEXACO/CHEVRON personal card and LOWE"s Cards for now.
Give it sometime to PIF these cards and see what happens.
BofA pulled EQ for me, but I think they are normally an Experian puller?
I m into gardening for a while. Thats for sure
OP, I think it would be best if you stop applying for cards. Your EX score is already low and will get lower with each added inquiry and new account. Focus on paying down your maxed out card and your scores will improve to the point where you can get some really nice cards. Patience is key. Visit the Garden Club.
I sure do need to do that. Amen
I will be house hunting Jan-June, 2016 and will be moving from my current residence of 5+ years and i need to keep my inquiry # as low as possible.
I still did not understand what Discover meant when asking me for a Joint application? my credit was not good enough on EX?
or they actually wanted a better profile for approval;
Patience is biting on me. I so much wanted the Discover card before i went house hunting. Just didnt work
