Equifax Amex Charge Card Reporting

Hello,

I tried applying for the CSR and realized that my Equifax report was frozen. When I went into Equifax to unfreeze it. I noticed that my 2 Amex charge cards (Gold and Platinum) were listed under "open lines" instead of revolving account. Without these 2 cards, I would be at 4/24 with them 6/24. Would Chase see these 2 accounts as credit card accounts or would I be able to get away with opening the CSR?

It doesn't matter how they report to the bureaus, for Chase's purpose they're tradelines. wait until you're under 6/24 including these accounts.

I think you're good. They're more worried about new Chase accounts.

Yes, they would consider these as a 'credit card' for the purpose of their 5/24 rule.  Wait until you are <5/24 to apply.  I'm currently @ 9/24 (but 3/24 in 86 days, lol) - whatever shall I do...  Smiley Embarassed
