Everyday amex cli question

I was approved for an amex ed no fee card back in december 14. i used the card heavily for several months always paid in full. i sometimes went over my limit too but i paid it down rather quickly bringing the balance below the limit .there was no over the limit charges. i applied for a cli about two months ago but were denied having bk7. at the time of my application my balance was at 100%.

my first question is should i move spending to other cards that i have and charge minimal amount to amex  and apply again 90 days later?

the second question is how to figure out the exact day that i asked for a cli?

Re: Everyday amex cli question

Make sure your balance is below 30% preferably 10% if you are going to try to request a 3X CLI.

You can chat with them and ask when was the last time you tried for a CLI and ask when you can try again.

Re: Everyday amex cli question

The formula that worked for me was carrying largish balances and making payments well above the minimum. Not really recommending that approach though, due to the interest charges.

Re: Everyday amex cli question

Yeah I rather not pay any interest. For now I'm just gonna be using it when there are offers like 20 off Sam's club online when you spend 20
