Hello myFICO world!
I thought I would take a moment to share some new data points
for those of you looking to apply for a First National Bank of Omaha
(FNBO) credit card in the near future.
I called FNBO's backdoor number (800 444 6220) and spoke with
someone in their Underwriter/Credit Reallocations Department.
After a short wait, a very polite and patient FNBO professional
was kind enough to answer the following questions for me:
-- On FNBO's website it states that the FICO Bankcard 9 is used
for credit card decisions. Which credit file is used? Answer: Experian.
-- How long is the Experian hard pull good for?
Answer: The same day to apply and/or be approved for
multiple FNBO credit cards using the same EX hard pull.
Otherwise, another EX HP will be taken for additional cards
the next day and any time thereafter.
-- Does the existence of a bankruptcy (CH 7 or CH13,
discharged or active) disqualify someone from being
approved for a FNBO credit card? Answer: No, it doesn't.
-- The minimum deposit for a FNBO secured card is $300.
The maximum allowable limit is $5,000. If someone wants
to add money to their secured card, would this result in an
additional Experian hard pull? Answer: Yes. If your initial
deposit is $300, for example, and you want to add another
$500 to raise your limit, then another EX HP would be taken.
Hope this helps anyone who is seriously considering a FNBO
credit card. Forum members rave about FNBO, and their customer
service department is top notch. BTW, even though FNBO is a
regional bank serving the US Midwest, anyone in the States is
eligible to apply for their credit cards.Just FYI...
Excellent info, ATIT. Thank you!
Great information! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for the information!
Any idea if info is same for branded cards (Ducks Unlimited, etc.)?

I'm thrilled that you found the information helpful.
I can't speak to branded cards. My questions were focused on the
four (4) basic cards FNBO offers: a rewards card, a low APR card,
a statement credits card, and a secured card. No annual fees on
any of these offerings. Feel free to check FNBO's link for more details:

I applied for the Ducks Unlimited card and got $8,000 SL.
5% back on gas and sporting goods seems like a great reward program for no AF.
Thanks again!

Super Congrats on your Ducks Unlimited $8,000 SL!
FYI, this branded card is offered by First Bankcard (a division of FNBO).
First Bankcard offers a free FICO Bankcard 8 to their customers, while
FNBO uses FICO Bankcard 9. As I'm sure you know, FICO 9 scores don't
weigh paid collections into their scoring model. Congrats again on your
success. See the Ducks Unlimited Visa link below and click Benefits tab:

I thought I would add an update. On Sunday I applied for the FNBO Ducks Unlimited Card, still siting at “pending status”, but it’s been 3 full days as Monday was Veteran’s Day and they weren’t open. I will post back once I know if I’m denied or approved.
Any news on your Ducks Unlimited application? I'm in a similar situation having applied 10 days ago and still "pending".
