Fell out of the Garden and tried the pre-approval. It said I was good to apply so I did. Results were a notice that I would receive a letter in two to four weeks. Oh ...?
Then I try the online app status and it said give them 24 hours before results are posted. Now I get an email with a link to the online app status with no timeline. Hmm ...?
Curiosity is getting me. Figured I was dead in the water and maybe there is just a breath of air left in the applications? We shall see? Appreciate the faith. It has only been since May 31 2022. Going back to 2010 they were just as slow and my FNBO Discover Card took two weeks. Funny they are still the same in this state of the art modern world?!
Aw ... but I am dead in the water! FNBO asked for a picture of the Drivers License, copy of a signed Social Security Card, all W-2s for 2020 and 2021 and they must be transmitted using regular first class mail within 20 days of the date of the letter (which keeps them in the 30 day window for credit application responses). Not going to happen! Only regret is the Inquiry on Experian
FNBO App's that go to manual UW, are usually not the fastest horse in town.
ETA: That was the same process as your's ..for my first (2) FNBO cards.
Only the business was instant. Hang in there, you might still be approved?
Good luck my friend!
I feel like for my FNBO card to get an instant approval I was more lucky than anything. I wouldn't sweat it.
It took FNBO over 2 weeks to finally approve me
Hang in there
Good luck!

None of those are negative indicators; they're just the way FNBO does things. I think you're going to get a nice approval for the amount of the preapproval.
A family member of mine got an instant approval......
I was prequalified, but also got a "wait & see" message. I waited almost 3 weeks (maybe more) and thought I would be declined.
It turned out that all I had to do was verify my address, (which is not unusual for me).... and bang I was approved for a $15,000 starting line..... hang in there, they may be slow in some cases.... but I like the card long term.
I received the same and thought mine was dead. But then a letter arrived and asked for the same things. i returned a copy of my DL, Social Security card, my 20 and 21 W2's and even included a copy of my phone bill for additional address verification. I sent it back by Priority Mail and they had it in 2 days. As soon as they received it a lady called me and asked me a couple of questions and later that day I received an email saying it was approved for the full amount of the prequal.
