Applied for a new FNBO card online today. Bank site auto responsed that I would receive a written response. I think I remember a timeframe of 7-14 days. Is this a bad sign? I opened a Discover It account about 4 months ago.
Not necessarily. It really depends on what the letter says once you receive it. Sometimes they may require additional documents or verification. You can definitely check the progress or status online (through the link they sent via email)

Also didn't think to add that I did go to the prequel form and was pre-qualified for $11k...but I see from the experiences shared that means little.

Typically, and based on reported DPs, whatever the pre-qualification portal yields (as far as the pre-qualified amount), it tends to be the approved limit -- again, provided you meet FNBO's underwriting criteria.
So, just keep an eye on things sometime early next week. You may not see much movement throughout the weekend because of the Labor Day Holiday - FYI.
