App'd anyway and of course denied
(i really expected that but they now know i WILL come calling when conditions are to their expectations)
Tried the prequal again today and it remains the same, no changes whatsoever.
As soon as the letter arrives i believe in asking reconsideration and intend to if even an inkling of a chance to get back in. No matter if it's toy limit. Just also got off the landline with U/W Dept. Gotta wait on the letter and go from there. I know or believe anyway that it's too early but geez why not just said No Offers Available after pulling a SP for the PreQual? Keeping it interesting for another time maybe?
Unless any of their policies have changed, I would temper expectations as FNBO doesn't entertain reconsiderations unless there are errors in CR data or due to verification. In the past, certain FNBO card programs offered a secured alternative in the event an applicant was denied, but so far no DPs on this particular product with that option.
@FinStarThat's quite alright either way. As already mentioned, there are no other expectations. Recons with any financial institution irregardless of policy are an applicant's personal choice no matter of where things stand. Any positive is always a bonus at different stages of progress. Would it be so awful if a miss? No of course not. A first decision was already come through. And with a solid POSITIVE HISTORY at FNBO stretching consecutive years, it's no worse to wear to take a stab at the chance of overturn.

About 2.5 hours later, I received an email from FNBO which said they received my application and would need 7-10 days to review. Status still shows as pending this morning. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
App still pending since 4/27. Letter coming in the mail today from FNBO. Fingers crossed for identify verification/POI and not a denial!
Agree, got same prequalify offer 15k and
2-4wk decision timeframe, was "denied" 2/days later

It was a request for identity verification and POI! Sent documents today by priority mail with tracking. Fingers crossed for an approval at the full pre-qual credit limit.

Good sign?
@spiritcraft1, Looks like a good sign.
If DW's income is available? , yes I would include it (as long as you can prove it, should they ask)
I realize this is kinda a late response.
Thanks, I can prove it. I actually sent it in a more secure envelope with the original envelope enclosed. We will see...
Looking forward to your update, since you're a few days ahead of me in the process. =)

Documents were confirmed delivered to their PO box this morning. I received a call from First Bankcard credit services at 3 pm EST to call them back. They asked me a few verification questions (confirm identity and mailing address, confirm mortgage amount and bank, confirm employment status and income, etc). She stated that the analyst would do a final review and give a final approval or denial by the end of the day.

Denied ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm genuinely curious what the letter will say. Healthy household income (W2 verfied), scores in the mid 700s, and not too many inquires or new accounts.

Sorry about that! Your denial does not portend a good outcome for me. I am still in limbo having sent docs on 4/30...
