There likely were other factors, however they're only required to provide 1 reason.
The only reason I mention this is because I have had quite more inquiries than you (on EX) in the past 24 months, and I was approved for 2 of their cards last year (2 months apart).
ETA - these were cold apps so approvals are possible (no mailers or pre-approvals). Just depends on your overall profile.
@Anonymous prob good advice!!!
@Anonymous wrote:I would wait. A number of people have been declined despite the prequal and FNBO is known to be sensitive to inquiries.
@Anonymous,
I agree about sensitive to inquiries. The Only thing that seems to bypass this is a Pre-Approved Mailer. ..My Dp's.
@IaBoy62 wrote:Did the prequalify and it came back with the secured card for 20.24%.....I included FNBO in BK discharged 12/2019 so I am not sure they will have me back....thinking about it.
I applied for the secured card and was denied....the letter did not mention bankruptcy, but "slow pay" on previous credit programs......odd terminology to me.
