FNBO Rewards VISA mailer and Prequal.

I just got an invitation in the mail for the FNBO rewards Visa.   The mailer listed rewards of $25 for 25,000 reward points (1%) and no interest for 12 months.

I won't app for the card because of upcoming mortgage loan app. But I was curious what would happen if I prequalified on their website.  I was prequalified for the Evergreen card with 2 % cash back at 15,000 CL at 18.24%.

While the CL of 15k is tempting I didn't need the balance transfer or zero interest because I'm now at 1 percent utilization  and AZEO.  Looks like there's several on the forum getting emails or mailed invitations to apply.  I was surprised to get a app from an Omaha bank when I'm in Arkansas.

I think there might be better card options with better cash back options for me to apply for after the mortgage.

Ive heard they use Experian.  My EX 8 is at 672. By the time I apply after the mortgage my scores should be higher also.

Difficult to not pull the trigger with the 15k CL showing.

Re: FNBO Rewards VISA mailer and Prequal.

Neato, I pulled the pre-approval page up and got 22.24%

5k with my income, played around it went up to 15k with a higher input (guess that's the max on the online tool)

There are definitely some better options out there, but hey like you said.. 15k is 15k

I gave the prequal a shot too and got 7,500 @ 25.24%.

Max apr, but I'm tempted by the SL coupled with the 2% floor.

Re: FNBO Rewards VISA mailer and Prequal.

I received the same mailed invitation.  I noticed the invitation states the BT fee is 3% on each balance transfer until July 2022.  The mailed invitation seems to be different than the Evergreen card as it is only 1% cashback and has the BT offer.

I don't see this card on their website.  When I did my own pre-qual on their site, it had me pre-approved for the evergreen card and 15k limit.
