Been dealing with a mess with Fnbo.
I was prequalified on 9/28 for an evergreen card at a 5600 limit. For rebuilding that is nice, so I applied. Got the you will hear back from us in 30 days email and a hard inquiry.
During the application I had to put my street address in. I do not get mail at my street address however, I get it at a P.O. Box. I called in a day after to check on the application and ask about the P.O. Box situation. Was told it's too early to do anything and to wait two weeks
I called back 2 weeks later and was told they sent me a letter requesting documents. I asked where they sent it. Of course it was the street address so I didn't get it. I asked them to send it again to the P.O. Box. They said they would.
Yesterday I still had nothing so I called again. The rep told me my application was declined because I never replied to the letter. I asked why it was never sent to my P.O. Box. He said they can't do that, and only send it once to the street address. He said the only way I could get the card was apply again. I told him I was concerned about a second inquiry and address issue happening again. He said there was nothing he could do. I asked what documents they were requesting, and he said he could not tell me. He recommend I apply again and call immediately to update the address within a day.
Against my better judgement I applied again because the pre approval limit was still high and really appealed to me. The immediately hit me with a hard inquiry and gave me the 30 day email again. Called in today to change the address and was told that it can't be changed after I applied. I also was told my new application was instantly declined because tge first one was still active for another two days !?!?!??
Now I have two inquiries, but no card. They want documents, but won't tell me what they are except in a letter they will only send to an addesss that does not get mail. I have never dealt with such a disorganized company. It's like everyone there started their job yesterday and has no clue. Stuff like documents are handled online with every other cc I have dealt with.
Now they claim a manager in underwriting will be calling me in the next two days. I don't have my hopes up...

Oh man, sorry to hear about that. I don’t have any advice for you, but I did deal with an underwriter from FNBO once about 18 months ago and he was really nice and got it approved quickly.
I’m not sure what’s going on behind the scenes over at FNBO, but lately they seem to be getting a little squirrelly… Best of luck to you!
PS. Let us know how it goes. Hopefully someone from here will be able to reply to you and help you out.
I have the same situation, no mail is delivered in my zip code by the Post Office..... all finiancial institutions and credit card companies require a physical address, and if I put ONLY a physicall address.... no mail will get to me. In the past...... It us to come to the local PO and they would know what box to put it in........ now, in the age of computers it usually kicks back and gets returned to the sender
Solution: ( At least this works for me, and worked with my FNBO approval )....... Put in your physcial address and add Box XXX at the end or on the second line, like you would if you lived in an apartment building putting in an apartment number...... this gives them the physical address they ask for and the BOX # you need to get your mail delivered #(though I don't mention PO at that time
I very often get an inquiry if they have address verification issues, then I give them a verbal explanation...... and once approved often give them the PO BOx as a mailing address only, or leave it as both. Either way they have both....... and this seems to work fine.
I hope this helps you in the future
