Wow!  Thanks for the heads up!  Congrats on your Discover approval.

It tells you when you request a CLI that you're authorizing them to obtain your CR. And Citi seems to have it set in stone that a CLI = HP. I remember reading here on the forum of someone being approved for BBY MC but was not happy with the CL and called to recon - they gave him a higher CL, but did a 2nd HP within an hour of doing a HP to approve the app. So stupid, like his credit situation was going to change within one hour?????

Right.  It appears the consensus has always been a HP for CLI with BBY (store or co-branded).  Same for Home Depot and other Citi private label cards.  In the past, though, some folks have reported getting SP CLIs, but those are not as common.  As with anything associated with an extension of credit, expect a HP when requesting a CLI.  And, if it turns out to be SP in th end, then great!

I'll concur it's a HP.  Also don't wait if you have to call in and verify info.  Wife had a BBY Store card at $1500 for a while, she allowed me to request a CLI online (knowing it'd be a HP).  We do and it gives us the call us up message.  She calls a couple days later and they warn about pulling credit, we told them they already did and the UW/analyst said OK it should be the same pull.  WRONG, they pulled again that day, so 2 HPs for 1 CLI.  Granted they did give us the full amount we asked for (an increase to $10,000) but still I wouldn't do that ever again...
