I know the switch over just took place yesterday, but am curious as to if anyone has tried a CLI on the site now that Elan controls the card? And if so is it HP or SP? Since B of A snubbed me receently on my last request with them--even after they HP'd my TU CR and going to manual review, was thinking of trying again with Elan but don't want to be the gineau pig--especially if it costs another HP.

Good luck to you! I wish BofA still controlled Fidelity CC accounts.
Elan's UW's can be tough! Make sure you don't have too many new accounts in the last year. I have a ton! Lol I can't deny that. Though I've closed 10 accounts.
They didn't deny me, I just wasn't feeling the SL. I basically told them to pound sand and cancel the cards.
It's funny because they said my available credit didn't bother them ( reporting over $300k presently). They couldn't find anything else to nitpick as my CR is spotless. With perfect payment history.
BofA on the other hand is trying to give me 3 more of their cards. None of which I have use for.
Oh well, my business goes to those lenders that give me realistic limits I can use. It just goes to show its the UW's that sway these decisions. Not necessarily the scores or the profile. Just depends if you catch the UW on a good day or bad.
Good luck again, if you're up to the task. I'd lean towards a HP on the CLI's.

I have the same question!!!!!!!!
I requested a credit line increase on the Fildelity/Elan site in Mid July, they sent me a letter saying to re-request it after July 26.
So, I wanted to know if someone else had any success getting an instant credit line increase? and if it was a HP or SP???

I called the number on the card and talked to a CSR a little over a week ago and she said it is a HP. If you look at the CLI request form it's different from the B of A form--they asked for a little more info and tell you it could take over a week to process your request. I took so many TU hits from B of A trying to get this card up I'm just going to wait and see someone else's results first---and also try to pay down the $1K left on the acct. from a BT a year ago.

Congrats. A few basic questions: Was it instant? What bureau did they pull and what was your score at the time?

Oh and TU is 740's
Thanks for the info. Right now my TU is 668, but I'm in the process of trying to have a 6 year old paid judgement removed for an error with the opening date, so I'll wait for the outcome and if it's in my favor hopefully my score will go up.
