I have been hitting Chase and Citi to see if I prequal for anything since my score improvements and opting back into pre-screen 2 months ago.
Tonight still nothing on Chase but Double Cash popped up on Citi! It's a EX pull I think so I will not grab it and from what I have seen/heard their stingy on CLs. Right?
Since they are offering you the lowest interest rate and 3 more months of intro APR than whats listed on the website if it were me and I wanted this card I would take it ![]()
You're right about the initial CL they do seem to be stingy with some people
Very nice offer.
I'd unfreeze my EX for that offer. ![]()
I would caution you though, that yes, most people have gotten pretty bad limits with this card, so don't expect anything great limit wise. (Of course, you also never know!) On the flip side that's a better APR than almost everyone else. Most with this card have 17 or 22%.
Even Citi has basically admitted the card was a tight margin for them, so they're not going to give out huge limits on it -- it makes sense.
Wow, that offer sounds duh-licous! Please let us know if you end up going for it and what your SL is!
Does the bank do a SP every time you do a prequal thing?

I'm very tempted for sure as this would be one of my lower APR cards in my portfolio.
I really want to stay on plan and add these this coming year...
Chase AARP
Barclay Ring
BOA - not sure the card
PenFed
AMEX SPG
3 EX pulls and I have 9 inqs so I am chilling until mid year... unless I get a prequal for one of the above.
I feel like a lot of the prequals are more marketing than anything. They may actually be doing a SP, but maybe not. They are going to "qualify" you for the card they want people to get. Citi never prequalifies me for anything.
Anyway, this OP got a good prequal offer, so that's great ![]()
