No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
So... I have zero credit history of my own. No student loans or anything, but... I convinced a friend to add me onto two of his personal cards as a Authorized User, and suddenly I now have two cards with 8 months of history reporting, with $750 & $1,000 limits respectfully, and 2% utilization.
I'm curious... are there any cards, I have a decent chance at? Chase Freedom would be Ideal, or maybe something from Citi?
I know my Experian is 724, and my TransUnion is 732. I have ZERO Inquiries.
I appreciate any advice, and want to say thank you in advance
Welcome to MyFico. That sort of history is enough to get you the Chase Freedom card. Go to the Chase website now and see if you are pre-qualified for it. If you are, apply abd report back with results.
Check this thread out for pre-approval links:

I recommend avoiding credit one completely, and I recommend reading the thread for comments on what pre-approval links to trust or not.
Alternatively, and this would be my first choice if I were where you are now knowing what I know now, I would first look into what Credit Unions I could join locally and what deals they have to offer to see if there's something out there that isn't available to everyone.
Well. I checked... and I have no pre-qualified/approved offers from anyone.
Credit-One (Pre-Qualify) link, says I have a 730 Experian Score. Yet, I'm denied according to them
Do you think, I should just apply for Chase Freedom anyway?
Anything else, promising?

Since you are just starting to get cards, I suggest you read up as there is a lot of info to deduce from. There are some credits cards you may want to avoid at all cost. Since you have a clean profile and no baddies on your reports, find out cards that fits into your spending habit and avoid the likes of Credit One, First Premier etc.
With your shot history, you should be able to get some good cards. Amex, Chase etc even if you are not pre-qualified. You will have to cold app. for them.
If you we're in my shoes, would cards would you Cold-App for?
Any more, promising than others?

If I were in your shoes, I see what card best fits my spending habits and then check the credit database to see what credit bureau was pulled for my region and what ranges of scores people were approved for when it came to the particular card in question.
I'd then cold app. and if it goes into pending, get myself ready to recon as that is the purpose of the line. To be reconsidered for an application. With that said, start with the Chase Freedom card if you really want it.
We need to review your application a little longer.
We'll let you know our decision in writing as soon as we can. If we approve your application, you'll receive your card in the mail in 7-10 business days. Please don't resubmit your application.
Thanks for choosing Chase Freedom® Credit Card .

Just the beginning... Is your phone charged? Are you ready to get to work? Let me know and we will get started. The recon department is open and you have 30 days to get the card approved.
I already went ahead and called.
I was denied, and... at this time, they can't do anything for me, until I have a longer credit history. Not even a $500 limit.
Should I call and bug the hell out of them?
