First National Bank Omaha Pre- Approval Letter

Hey Everyone,

I received a letter int he mail that I've been pre-approved for a FNBO Platinum Edition Visa Card.

Is this a good card to have? Also, what are my chances of getting approved for it? Thanks in advance.

Re: First National Bank Omaha Pre- Approval Letter

In most cases its a solid offer but their marketing has several rewards structures. Which one were you sent?

Also if you applied for credit since they did the SP chance are less for an approval

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

I hope this isnt a rebuilding card.

Prime lender, that gives decent APR, along with a CL that will grow with you, mine started at $6k now sitting at 14.9k a couple years later, BT transfer offers, 5.99% for life. No complaints, no its the end all and be all of credit cards, but its a good combination, with zero AF.

Cards: Chase Southwest 20k & CSR 17k & CSP 10k & FNBO 30k Oregon Duck 5k, & AMEX BCP 32.5k & Amex Magnet 15k&amg; Hilton Surpass 7.5k & Delta Gold 12k & Zync NPSL, Fidelity AMEX 17k Commerce5.9k & Cash Forward 7.5k & Sams Club MC 20k, Paypal Extras MC 10k, Paypal Credit 7.25k CapOne Venture 15k, QS 2.5k, QS 750, Amazon 10k, Walmart 10k, Citi Simplicity 18k, Discover IT 23k and a nice stack of store cards.

+1

FNBO is one of those lenders who is not fond of "new" friends popping up afterwards

It says I would be at a 19.99 percent interest rate.

Re: First National Bank Omaha Pre- Approval Letter

I'll add my take on what I know from all my research about FNBO before applying and I did a lot of research.

They will not approve an app unless:

1) you live in their banking foot print

2) or you receive an invitation to apply and in this case it doesn't matter what state your in......I'm in Florida

If you receive an invitation its as good as gold unless your profile has changed since receiving the invitation....

IE...went on a app spree, a baddie popped up on your CR's.....

Everything is manually reviewed but usually approved the same day if you apply early

In my months of research I did.... I didn't find any cases of forum members applying with the invitation not being approved. Every last one was approved.

I did see one denial after I was approved but that person had been on an app spree and was thus denied for new accounts.

SP CLI's I love them for that just call every 3-4 months HP if asking via computer

Great customer service

I have the Amex version which gives 2% on gas and groceries
