I have the Navy Go Rewards WMC at $34k right now
History:
Figured no worries I'll apply for another CLI later and see if I can get it to $40k. Applied on 07/05 and had not heard anything. Decided to just give them a call today and it was declined. The rep said it was specifically due to the fact that I had an approved CLI less than 6 months ago. Good thing is it did not do a HP either so no harm, no foul.
I thought I remembered reading about a new 6mo trend kicking in within Navy, but I may have remembered it wrong. Maybe its 6 months for CLI but you can apply for an additional card before then.
Thinking about finally going for that 2nd card, but should I sit tight considering this denial or would a new app yield different results than the CLI request? Anyway just wanted to share some DP's on the CLI and ask for feedback on the 2nd card option. Thanks!
TU Fico9 is 799, EQ Fico9 is 793 (I think Navy uses the 9's now)
New accounts < 6months = 0 (2 recents that have not hit yet)
TU INQ < 6months = 8
DTI: 1%
Current Navy exposure: $49k
Total Credit: $425k
they should just give it to you m8 ,they have the backbone.why make u waitmore time.
Thanks! I was only even considering it because I saw your 4th card approval and thought "well dang I should be able to get at least 2 lol"
Yeah, IME its easier to get more cards than a cli. I would say you should be able to get a 2nd one.
Just keep in mind OP, the "4th" NFCU CC hasn't been officially confirmed. Their current, verifiable policy (as per NFCU) is 3 CC products per individual (i.e. primary applicant). Some longstanding MF members have already applied and/or confirmed this internal policy with NFCU. Other sites, outside of MF, have confirmed similar results.
