Got approved but no CLI

I've had Cap1 Plat for almost a year now with CL of $1000. They auto CLI to $3000 after 5 payments in May. Wanted larger CL so asked today but got the 2-3 day reply so I'm guessing it's a no.

Although the pre-screen/qual sites don't offer anything that I want except the Platinum (which I already have) and the QS1 (I don't want). I have been getting offers via mail to apply for the QS (not QS1) but been holding off because I want the Chase Slate and Freedom cards. I do have a Chase Amazon that I received this past June.

Decided to go ahead with the QS email pre-approval offer and got approved for $2000 this morning! I would like the Venture in the future and still really want the two Chase cards as soon as I can have them. Should I try for the Venture and/or Chase wait for them to be available on the pre-qual sites? Also, do I need to still wait for the CLI for the Platinum six months after the last one?

I think it's weird that they won't give a CLI but they'll approve a new card.

Sorry 2 about the CLI denial
I have heard of folks getting better limits on new card while the old one was stuck....Also some cards have set limits that don't grow....
also a lot of talk on forums about Chase new 5 accounts in 24 limits..so I would read up on that and keep that in mind when deciding upon when to app for Chase cards....

I have been reading but as with everything else I see discrepancies with non-approvals as well as approvals. They seem to be all over the place.

I called yesterday on my Chase Amazon visa but they were no help. I used to call them periodically because I had one before, closed it, and wanted to open account again.The reason they kept telling me no is that I already had an Amazon account (although I had closed it). So after calling yesterday, they told me to go into a branch because I would be able to get more information. What? I can't talk to someone to apply for a new card on the phone? I must not have the right number.

You may get denied if your scores are accurate from your signature for the Chase cards.

Hopefully those scores will be going up a lot in the next few months! I'm just wondering though, why I was approved for the Chase Amazon? I know I consistently called to get it and then I apped online on the Amazon site. Having a Chase Amazon Rewards Visa helps doesn't it?

Congrats for QS!!! and sorry for your denial CL request happened to me too, last week i asked for CL increase got denial,

then i checked they pre-qualify and got apprved fo ventura Sigg, they are very good lenders but hard to figure them out. But you now what keep up a good work,

use your cards wisely and pay on time and you will get rewards down road with, great offers!!
