I am 20 years old, will be 21 next month. My Bank 8 FICO scores are as follows:
Exp: 611
TU: 680
Eq: 647
I make $38500 annually, only have two student loans in good standing at $2000, my first auto loan in good standing $16k, an authorized user on two of my mom's cards (Capital One with CLI: $3500; Discover Secured: $200) with usage at 3% and 100% payment history.
Experian has one medical debt of $499 that i am in the process of disputing.
I applied and was pre-approved for an Avant Credit card with $1000 CLI. However, after they completed underwriting, I received a denial letter via email with no reason other than i dont have enough revolving accounts. However, it's not like I haven't been trying. I have: 3 inquiries on Exp, 15 on TU, and 13 on Eq.
I do not know why else im being denied for every unsecured card that i have applied for, and why i cant get a pre-approval for Credit One, First Access, Legacy or other subprime cards. The shopping cart trick DOES NOT work for me at all either. I'm just perplexed because my uncle has a TU of 617 and was approved for Avant credit card for $1000; my aunt has an open bankruptcy with a 632 FICO across the board and she was approved for $500.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!
Open Sky secured? No credit check I believe.
No thank you. I am trying to get an unsecured card.

Umm secured cards may be your only option.
My best suggestion is the Capital One Platinum. It was my very first credit card. I got it unsecured with basically no credit history. It was a tiny limit, but it's a start. Eventually you'll graduate to better cards. Say what you will about Cap One, but they are great for credit newbies. Good luck!
Oh, and I was not preapproved at the time, in case you were wondering!
I don't think you can get pre-approvals till you are 21. I'm 99% sure I have read that. That may also be true of SCT.
I know you are frustrated. Slow down.. you will get credit. There are a lot of people on myFICO with knowledge to help you get credit. But please listen to them.
Your uncle & aunt probably have a lot more history than you, even if BK in included. Your cards are AU, not in your name, not your credit history.
Capitol One Platinum is usually a good place to start. But, others will offer more solid suggestions.
Try Cap1 Prequal or Discover Pre-Qual and see if you get anything to come up.. Otherwise a secured card route might be the way you have to go. Sometimes you gotta take baby steps before you can walk then eventually run. So long story short try Cap1 Pre-Qual Site and Discovers if nothing comes I would seriously consider a secured card as blowing inquiries is certainly not helping you. Best of luck!

Have you tried the prequal tool for Capital One and Discover?
